Off-Site Stoppage Alert

An Off-Site Stoppage alert flags a vehicle that has stopped at a location that isn't one of your approved sites or POIs — an unplanned detour, a personal errand, or an unauthorised halt. You build it as a rule that combines a stoppage condition with an 'outside your zones' condition.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Alerts > Rules and click Create rule.
  2. Pick a matching stoppage template (or choose Start from scratch).
  3. Adjust the condition — combine a stoppage trigger with outside your approved zones/POIs.
  4. Choose which vehicles or groups the rule applies to.
  5. Set a schedule — Always, Business Hours, Outside Business Hours or Custom.
  6. Pick the notification channels — In-App, Push, Email or SMS.
  7. Click Save. When the rule triggers, the alert lands in the Alerts Inbox and notifications go out.

What you can set

  • Condition — a stoppage combined with being outside your approved sites/POIs.
  • Scope — the vehicles or groups covered.
  • Schedule — Always, Business Hours, Outside Business Hours or Custom.
  • Notifications — In-App, Push, Email or SMS.
  • Behaviour settings — fine-tune to cut down on repeated or noisy alerts, e.g. brief traffic stops.

Frequently asked questions

How do I stop it firing for short traffic stops?

Use the rule's behaviour settings to require a minimum stop duration before it triggers, so a brief halt at a light or in traffic won't count as an off-site stoppage.
