A Door Open / Close alert tells you the moment a vehicle or cargo door opens or closes — for example an unexpected door-open while a load is in transit. It helps you spot tampering, theft and unplanned stops.

How to set it up

  1. Open Alerts > Rules and click Create rule.
  2. Pick the matching template, or choose Start from scratch.
  3. Adjust the condition to trigger on the door opening or closing.
  4. Choose which vehicles or groups the rule applies to.
  5. Set a schedule — Always, Business Hours, Outside Business Hours or Custom.
  6. Select the notification channels — In-App, Push, Email or SMS.
  7. Click Save.

What you can set

  • Condition — the door state (open or close) that raises the alert.
  • Vehicles / groups — the vehicles the rule watches.
  • Schedule — when the rule is active (Always / Business Hours / Outside Business Hours / Custom).
  • Notifications — In-App, Push, Email or SMS.
  • Behaviour — fine-tune to cut down on repeat or noisy alerts.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a door sensor?

Yes. This alert depends on a door sensor or input wired to the vehicle's GPS device. Without it there is no door state for the rule to read.

Where does the alert appear?

When it triggers, the alert shows in the Alerts Inbox and notifications go out on your chosen channels.
