Unplanned Stoppage

The Unplanned Stoppage report filters out every routine, expected stop and shows only the ones worth looking at — vehicles halted at unrecognised locations for longer than a set threshold. By cutting the noise of normal depot and delivery stops, it points fleet managers straight at the stoppages that may signal a problem.

What the report shows

Each run isolates the anomalous stops and totals their impact:

  • Unplanned Stoppages — the count of stops at unrecognised locations beyond the threshold.
  • Vehicles Affected — how many vehicles had at least one unplanned stop.
  • Total Stop Time — the combined duration of all unplanned stops.
  • Longest Stop — the single longest unplanned stoppage in the period.
  • Needs Attention — the stops flagged as most in need of follow-up.

How to run it

  1. Open Reports and choose the Operations category (or search “unplanned”).
  2. Select Unplanned Stoppage.
  3. Set the date range you want.
  4. Click View to see it on screen, or Download for a PDF or Excel copy.

Schedule it

Run this report daily to stay ahead of problem stops. Use the Scheduled tab to have any unplanned stoppages from the previous day emailed each morning, so nothing slips through unnoticed.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a stop “unplanned”?

A stop counts as unplanned when it happens away from a recognised location — such as a saved depot, customer site or point of interest — and lasts longer than the threshold you set, so expected stops are excluded automatically.

Can I change the threshold and known locations?

Yes. The stop-time threshold and the list of recognised locations, or points of interest, are configurable, letting you tune how sensitive the report is to your operation.
