The Temperature Exceptions report zooms in on the breaches themselves — every time a refrigerated vehicle moved outside its allowed temperature range. It is the investigation tool cold-chain teams reach for after the Temperature Overview flags a problem.

What the report shows

Rather than averages, this report focuses on the exception events and how they were handled:

  • Vehicles With Breaches — how many vehicles recorded at least one breach in the period.
  • Total Breach Events — the count of individual out-of-range events across the fleet.
  • Active Breaches — breaches that are still ongoing and have not yet recovered.
  • Door Correlated — breaches that coincided with a door opening, helping you tell loading stops apart from equipment faults.
  • Worst Deviation — the largest distance a reading strayed from the allowed range.
  • On Watch — vehicles flagged for follow-up because their readings are trending toward a breach.

How to run it

  1. Open Reports and choose the Sensors & Add-ons category (or search “temperature”).
  2. Select Temperature Exceptions.
  3. Set the date range you want.
  4. Click View to see it on screen, or Download for a PDF or Excel copy.

Schedule it

Add Temperature Exceptions to the Scheduled tab so a breach digest lands in your inbox each morning — a fast way to review yesterday’s incidents before the day starts.

Frequently asked questions

What does “Door Correlated” mean?

It flags breaches that happened while a door was open, which usually points to a loading or delivery stop rather than a refrigeration fault. This needs a door sensor add-on in addition to the temperature sensor.

What sensors does this report need?

A temperature sensor add-on is required on each vehicle; a door sensor add-on is needed for the door-correlation figures. Vehicles without these sensors will not report the matching data.
