Geofence Breach

The Geofence Breach report logs every time a vehicle crossed a boundary it should not have — leaving an authorised zone or entering a restricted one — and pairs the record with real-time alerts. It is built for compliance and safety managers who need to know the moment a vehicle goes where it shouldn't.

What the report shows

Every breach is logged with the vehicle, the zone and the time, and the report summarises the period with these figures:

  • Total Breaches — the number of unauthorised geofence entries and exits recorded across the fleet.
  • Unique Vehicles — how many different vehicles were involved in a breach.
  • Restricted Zone Entries — the count of times a vehicle entered a zone it was not permitted to enter.
  • Unauthorised Exits — the count of times a vehicle left a zone it was required to stay within.
  • Needs Attention — breaches flagged for follow-up, so nothing important is missed.
  • Longest Breach — the breach with the greatest duration outside or inside the boundary.

How to run it

  1. Open Reports and choose the Compliance & Geofencing category (or search “geofence”).
  2. Select Geofence Breach.
  3. Set the date range you want.
  4. Click View to see it on screen, or Download for a PDF or Excel copy.

Schedule it

Open the Scheduled tab to have the Geofence Breach report emailed to you automatically — a daily or weekly digest keeps your compliance team on top of boundary breaches without opening the app.

Frequently asked questions

Do I still get instant alerts?

Yes. Breaches trigger real-time alerts the moment they happen, so you are notified immediately. The report is the running log you review afterwards to see the full picture across the fleet.

What is the difference between a restricted zone entry and an unauthorised exit?

A restricted zone entry is a vehicle going into an area it should stay out of. An unauthorised exit is a vehicle leaving an area it was supposed to remain within. Both are counted as breaches.
