The Speeding report gives fleet and safety managers an event-level record of every time a vehicle exceeded its speed limit, so you can see who is speeding, how badly, and how often.

What the report shows

Each row is a single speeding incident, and the summary bar totals the numbers that matter most for coaching:

  • Total Incidents — the count of speeding events across the fleet for your chosen period.
  • Avg Duration — the average length of a speeding event, showing whether they are brief lapses or sustained overspeeding.
  • Top Speed — the single highest speed recorded, so extreme cases stand out immediately.
  • Vehicles Involved — how many vehicles recorded at least one speeding event, showing whether the problem is fleet-wide or a few outliers.
  • Needs Attention — a frequency flag highlighting the drivers and vehicles with repeat incidents.
  • Avg Excess Speed — how far over the limit events run on average, a measure of severity rather than just frequency.

How to run it

  1. Open Reports and choose the Driver Safety category (or search “speeding”).
  2. Select Speeding.
  3. Set the date range you want.
  4. Click View to see it on screen, or Download for a PDF or Excel copy.

Schedule it

Use the Scheduled tab to have the Speeding report emailed to you automatically — a weekly run keeps repeat offenders on your radar without opening the app.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a speeding event?

An event is logged whenever a vehicle exceeds the speed limit set for its location or profile. Severity banding then groups events by how far over the limit they went.

How do I find my worst drivers quickly?

Use the Needs Attention flag and the driver league table — they surface the drivers with the most frequent and most severe incidents so you can prioritise coaching.
