The Fleet Activity report rolls up each vehicle's operational metrics into a single line — mileage, time states, fuel use and business versus non-business hour splits — summarised over the day, week or month. It gives fleet managers a fast, at-a-glance read on how the whole fleet is being used.

What the report shows

Each run summarises activity per vehicle across the selected period:

  • Trip Count — the number of journeys each vehicle made.
  • Total Mileage — the distance covered per vehicle.
  • Total Active — the time the vehicle was in operation, engine on.
  • Total Idling — the time spent stationary with the engine running.
  • Total Moving — the time the vehicle was actually in motion.
  • Seat Belt Violation — the count of trips or events where the seat belt was not fastened.

How to run it

  1. Open Reports and choose the Operations category (or search “activity”).
  2. Select Fleet Activity.
  3. Set the date range you want — a day, a week or a full month.
  4. Click View to see it on screen, or Download for a PDF or Excel copy.

Schedule it

Fleet Activity works well as a recurring summary. Use the Scheduled tab to have it emailed daily, weekly or monthly, so managers get a rollup of fleet usage without logging in to run it.

Frequently asked questions

What do the business and non-business hour splits mean?

Activity is divided against the working hours set for your account, so you can see how much running happens inside versus outside business hours — useful for spotting unauthorised use.

Do I need extra hardware for the seat belt column?

Seat belt violations only populate for vehicles wired to report seat belt status; without that connection the column stays empty while every other metric still fills in.
