Set a Service or Document-Renewal Reminder
Reminders make sure a service or an expiring document never slips through. AVLView handles two kinds of reminder — one for servicing and one for document renewals — and both surface in the dashboard priority queue.

How to set a service reminder
- Open the task on the Service & Maintenance dashboard and start scheduling it.
- In the Reminder settings, choose to repeat every N km or every N months.
- Set the trigger — at a specific odometer reading, or N days before the due date.
- Pick who to notify by Email and/or the mobile app, then save.
How to set a document-renewal reminder
- Open the document and click Renew.
- In the Renew dialog, select the document type — Insurance, Commercial Permit, Fitness, Pollution or Registration.
- Turn on the auto-renewal reminder and set how many days before to remind, plus a final alert N days before.
- Choose the notification recipients, then save.
What you can set
- Service repeat — every N km or every N months.
- Service trigger — at an odometer reading or N days before due.
- Document type — Insurance, Commercial Permit, Fitness, Pollution or Registration.
- Auto-renewal reminder — a first reminder N days before and a final alert N days before expiry.
- Notifications — Email and/or the mobile app.
Frequently asked questions
Where do reminders appear once set?
Every reminder feeds the dashboard priority queue, so due and overdue items are ranked together with your scheduled services.
Can one reminder use both km and time?
A service reminder repeats on either distance (every N km) or time (every N months); pick whichever matches how the vehicle is used.
