Record a Vehicle Checkup
A checkup is a quick look-over of a vehicle that you log as a maintenance event — handy for recording findings between full services.

How to record a checkup
- In the Maintenance Hub, add a new event and set the event type to checkup.
- Select the vehicle and the date.
- Enter your findings in the notes and record the odometer.
- Add any attachments, then save.
What you can record
- Vehicle — the vehicle you checked.
- Date — when the checkup happened.
- Findings / notes — what you observed.
- Odometer — the reading at the time.
- Attachments — photos or documents.
Frequently asked questions
Checkup or inspection — which should I use?
Use a checkup for a quick, free-form note. For a structured pass/fail walkaround, use the Inspections (DVIR) feature instead.
Where do completed checkups appear?
A completed checkup shows on the vehicle's Timeline alongside its other maintenance events.
