Run a Device Diagnostics Scan
A diagnostics scan checks the health of a vehicle's tracking device and pinpoints what's wrong. Run it whenever a vehicle's data looks stale or incorrect.

How to run a diagnostics scan
- Select the vehicle on the Real-time screen.
- Start the scan from one of three places: the Real-time toolbar (Activity icon), the grid right-click menu, or the device not responding strip on the Driver Card.
- Wait for the scan to finish, then read the results.
- Use Re-run to scan again after making a change.
What the scan reports
- Health Score — an at-a-glance measure of the device's overall condition.
- Per-module status — each of the device's systems is rated optimal, degraded or critical, with attention flags: battery, connection, configuration, GPS, GPRS and sensors.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need any hardware to run a scan?
Yes — the vehicle must have a tracking device fitted. The scan checks that device's systems, so there's nothing to report without one.
When should I run a diagnostics scan?
Run one whenever a vehicle's data looks stale or wrong, or when the Driver Card shows a 'device not responding' strip.
