This guide shows how to configure iButton driver identification on a Ruptela device, so AVLView can tell which driver is using each vehicle.

Setup guide

Please follow below steps to configure ibutton in Ruptela device

Step 1: Connect the device

Connect Ruptela device to the configurator

Step 2: Open IO setting window

Click “options” shown below “IO events”



Step 3: Choose an empty slot

Choose an empty slot to which the newly selected parameter needs to be set

Step 4: Open ID drop down list

Open the ID drop down list and select “iButton driver ID”. Once done, ‘Enable’ checkbox to activate the parameter (if this checkbox is not ‘Enabled’, the parameter will not be set in the selected slot)

Step 5: Set ‘Event on’ to Change

Set the “Event on” to change and set the “Priority” as “High”

Frequently asked questions

Why identify the driver?

Driver ID links each trip to a person, powering the driver behaviour alerts and the driver scorecard.

Is my device supported?

AVLView is device-agnostic and works with 200+ GPS models. If you don't see yours, contact support to confirm.

The device isn't reporting after setup.

Recheck the APN and server settings, confirm the SIM has an active data plan, and make sure the device has power. See Troubleshooting.
